Bio:
I was born and raised in Uitenhage , spending my teen years in the Western Cape , graduating from Knysna High in 1990.  I attended George Technical college obtaining diplomas in computer studies. Relocating back to Port Elizabeth was a homecoming of sorts.
After losing quite a few close family in the last few years, I joined Pride to make a difference in the lives of our LGBTQIA+ community.
All lives matter, We matter, we need to grow together to grow a community of proud individuals and leave a legacy to those that come after us.

In 2019, I founded Tarryn Light Productions to create empowering, entertaining live shows that celebrate identity and diversity. As Deputy Chairperson of NMB Pride, I’m passionate about building a more visible, inclusive, and representative LGBTQIA+ community — especially for those of us in the Bi+ space. I believe in the power of authenticity, bold storytelling, and showing up with purpose. Let’s keep creating change, together.

Bio:
I’m a vibrant force for love, pride, and purpose. As the Public Relations Officer for Nelson Mandela Bay Pride, I’m passionate about creating inclusive spaces where every LGBTQIA+ voice is celebrated. Originally from the Northern Cape, I now call Port Elizabeth home. I run a cozy home-based nail studio where I help clients feel confident and cared for. I also volunteer weekly, helping prepare meals for about 30 seniors — because I believe no act of kindness is ever too small. When I’m not working or giving back, I’m probably watching Big Bang Theory, Drop Dead Diva and Young Sheldon reruns or enjoying a motorcycle ride with my fiancé — my favorite person and biggest joy.
