Abbreviations for the letters in LGBTQIA+ Explained

L - Lesbian = Someone who identifies as a woman whose primary sexual and affectional orientation is towards woman, however          some non-binary also identifies as lesbian because they have some connection to woman hood and are attracted to women. 

G - Gay = A sexual and affectional toward people of the same gender (sometimes referred to as homosexual)

B - Bisexual = A person whose primary sexual and affectional orientation is toward people of the same or other genders, or towards people regardless of their gender (sometimes called pansexual).

T - Transgender = Acts as a more inclusive term for transgender, gender non-conforming and non-binary folk.

Q - Queer = relationships that defy relationship categories can mix elements from platonic romantic and sexual relationships, there is usually some level of commitment or intimacy.

I - Intersex = Covers a wide range of body variations that don't fit into conventional definitions of male and female. (Hormonal, internal & External characteristics) previous offensive term that was used is HERMAPHRODITE.

A - Asexual = Varying degrees of sexual attraction or desire for partnered sexuality, it covers romantic attraction, physical attraction and emotional attraction.

+ - Stands for all of the other identities not covered in the acronym. 
LGBTQIA+ just covers the whole spectrum.
